Laiolo's AZIENDA VITIVINICOLA PIANCANELLI is
surrounded by the green sea of hills representing
Piedmont’s wine making pride.
His wine making
is respectful of the ancient tradition from Asti and
his country. His savy care gives rise to noble and
precious offspring of his grapewines.
The farm and the
vineyards are situated at 400 metres of height in a
hilly area at a medium slope, where often the wind
coming from the sea of the near Liguria blows to
exalt the grapes characteristics.
The farm is
situated on a surface of 30 hectares and is menaged
by the family, integrated only in part with workers
specialized in viticulture field, so there is a
severe and careful control of quality; all products
are produced with the use of grapes wholly coming
from semi-biological cultivation; indeed, the firm
follows, for several years, an E.C. plan (E.C.
regulation 2078/92) which provides a considerable
and aimed reduction of the antiparasitic products to
obtain a better quality of grapes.
Since
1998 for the transformation, the adhesion to the
self-control plan HACCP (Hazard Analysis Control
Critical Point) assures the hygienic safety and the
best conditions of the product for all aspects. This
plan consists of an analysis method to identify some
risks for consumer's health and to single out the
most opportune way of prevention.
Our farm requires
the best also from the products that surround the
wine to make global the quality concept. In fact,
all our bottles are of anti-UVAG glasses (anti-ultraviolet
rays), to avoid the possible alterations of the
product; our corks are of very good Sardinian cork,
which is certified and sterilised with ozone, and
the packages are of triple layer carton to obtain a
good heat insulation of our bottles, improving the
wine conservation.
